Our community owns a number of parcels of land, which are mostly small, such as watering holes, but some are more substantial, being former quarries. These have become self-seeded woodland, which the Parish Council feels could be productively maintained. The council would welcome any interest from residents of our parish, who feel able and competent to manage one of these parcels. Extraction of timber would follow the recommendations of Mike Smith (Longbow Forestry). It is difficult to put a yearly rental value for each piece of woodland. The council is open to offers. All income received would be to the benefit of the community. Any queries or to see a copy of the lease agreement – contact Mike Walford: 52102 [email protected]
